【Prevention and Response Plan for Lottery Accidents】 The "Prevention and Response Plan for Lottery Accidents" aims to prevent lottery accidents by enhancing the responsibility and management capabilities of the lottery trust operators in response to the growing public interest in lotteries. In the event of an accident, it is also designed to provide a quick and transparent response. To prevent lottery accidents in advance by increasing the responsibility and awareness of the trust operators, the level of penalties for breach of trust will be increased, and in cases where significant accidents occur three or more times for the same reason, the trust contract may be terminated. * The penalty range will be updated from the existing penalty range of up to 10 million won (1st stage: 2 million won, 2nd stage: 5 million won, 3rd stage: 10 million won) under Article 36(1) of the Lottery Act to a fine of up to 30 million won under Article 34(1) of the Lottery Act. In addition, the lottery trust operators' "Accident Response Manual" will be improved and strengthened, and even minor issues in the process of handling lottery accidents will be transparently disclosed to secure public trust. An external expert validation team will be established to verify whether the contents of the trust operators' accident response are appropriate on a continuous basis. |
